End-of-Sale and End-of-Life AnnouncementOverview
Cisco Systems announces the end of sale for the Cisco MGC Node Manager (MNM) 2.1, with an effective date of November 1, 2002. Cisco customers will continue to receive Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) support for Cisco MNM 2.1 until November 1, 2003, after which all customers are expected to upgrade.
The Cisco MNM 2.1 will no longer be orderable as of November 1, 2002. Cisco MNM 2.3.1 replaces Cisco MNM 2.1. Service-affecting bugs discovered in Cisco MNM 2.1 may be fixed in a patch or may require a newer release of Cisco MNM. Customers are encouraged to upgrade as soon as possible.

Upgrades
Customers interested in upgrading to Cisco MNM 2.3.1 from Cisco MNM 1.5 or Cisco MNM 2.1 may purchase a base license upgrade from Cisco.com. Upgrades from Cisco MNM 2.1 are supported under Cisco Software Application Support (SAS) at no charge. The existing Cisco MNM right to use (RTU) license supports all existing Cisco MNM software versions and does not require an upgrade at this time.

End of sale—After this milestone date, Cisco MNM 2.1 will no longer be orderable.
•
Discontinue contract renewal— After this milestone date, no maintenance contracts will be renewed.
•
End of maintenance—After this milestone date, no maintenance releases will be produced for the major release.
•
End of engineering—After this milestone date, the software release is no longer supported by Cisco Engineering. All bug fixes and product enhancements will be applied to a newer release.
