    Technical Requirements

    The CCIE Assessor Lab can be accessed via the Web from any location with Internet connectivity. The following technical requirements are suggested to ensure adequate performance:

    • Bandwidth of 56k or higher
    • Enable ActiveX and JavaScript
    • Set security firewalls to allow outbound TCP connections to 64.161.38.69, .70 and .75. More granular address/ port information may be requested by contacting CCIE customer support through the Certifications Online Support tool.
    • Microsoft Windows 2000 or later
    • Microsoft IE 5.5 or higher with default security settings and pop-ups allowed
    • Microsoft JVM or Sun JRE 1.5 or higher (see Java at Sun for the latest versions)
    • Adobe Acrobat Reader

    Results and Feedback

    As in the actual lab exam, each question has specific objectives and an expected configuration. Performance is evaluated and scored similar to actual CCIE lab exams. An assessment report is available online at any time during the four-hour session and is automatically emailed to you after the session expires. Assessor Lab scores are not made a part of your permanent record in the CCIE database and are provided only to you for preparation purposes. The report also includes study resources for areas not achieving a passing score.

    The Cisco CCIE Assessor Lab runs on LabGear™ equipment from Technology Networks, Inc. and makes use of the AutoVerify™ assessment engine from Remote Technology Solutions, Inc. Questions and non-urgent concerns about CCIE Assessor should be directed to Cisco Systems, Inc. by contacting CCIE customer support through the Certifications Online Support tool.
