PLAN-IT Toolkits for Academies
Gender InitiativeTo combat the challenge of the gender division in IT, the Gender Initiative Toolkit offers a number of administrative ideas to recruit and retain female students. Examples include reduced fees for women, the establishment of all-female Academy classes, and recruitment events that target female students.
Workforce DevelopmentThe Workforce Development Toolkit provides budget, partnering, and marketing materials to promote the development of relationships between Academies and the private sector to help link Academy students and graduates with jobs.
Financial SustainabilityThe Financial Sustainability Toolkit includes tools to guide users in the long-term goal of sustaining Academies as not-for-profit business institutions. The toolkit builds on business planning exercises and the a cost calculator to help in budgeting and planning processes. Event Planning ResourcesIn addition to the Gender Initiative, Workforce Development and Financial Sustainability Toolkits, Cisco has produced supplementary materials to support PLAN-IT activities and events at Networking Academies.
