Q: How do I get a Cisco.com User ID?
A: Create your Cisco.com account with your unique personal business e-mail address. Make sure that your Cisco.com account's company name exactly matches your company name listed in your company's application. For example “HP” and “Hewlett Packard” are not exactly the same. Your company's primary contact should be able to tell you how your company name appears in the application.

Q: I forgot my Cisco.com User ID and or password.
A: If you forgot your User ID, contact the Program Help Desk. You will be sent your User ID. You must then get your password reset by sending send a blank email from the email you entered for your Cisco.com account (usually your work email) to cco-locksmith@cisco.com. You will be sent a new password and instructions for logging in.

Q: I can't access our application with our company's User ID or someone else's User ID.
A: Cisco does not allow group User IDs or sharing User IDs. Each user must obtain his or her own User ID. Instructions to obtain an User ID can be found in the Q&A section.

Q: I can't access my online application - what's wrong?
A: To access your company's application you must be listed as a contact on the application and have a valid Cisco.com account. Create your Cisco.com account with your primary business e-mail address. Your company's primary contact or any existing application contact can add you as a new contact. The e-mail address entered on the online application must match the e-mail address associated with your Cisco.com account. If these addresses do not match, you will not be able to access the company's application. Also make sure that your Cisco.com account's company name exactly matches your company name listed in your application. For example “HP” and “Hewlett Packard” are not exactly the same. If you do not know any of your companies contacts, notify us through the Program Help Desk. We will identify them for you. Cisco does not maintain your company's contact list or any application content.

Q: How do I change company contacts?
A:The new contact must have a valid Cisco.com account. Make sure that the company name used for the Cisco.com account exactly matches the company name listed in your application. For example “HP” and “Hewlett Packard” are not exactly the same. Also, the Cisco.com account must use the new contact's primary business e-mail address. The e-mail address entered on the online application must match the e-mail address associated the new contact's Cisco.com account. Q: How can I change my Cisco.com registration status from “Guest” to “Partner”?
A:All Cisco Technology Developer Program members are permanently assigned as “Guest”. “Partner” level status is assigned only to Channel Partners.

Q: I am not authorized to sign your contract- what can I do?
A: You can “Nominate” anyone you wish to sign for you. Use the “Nominate” button located at the bottom of the electronic agreement. Make sure the nominee already has a Cisco.com account. Enter his or her Cisco User ID for nomination. A new electronic agreement will be sent to the “Nominee”.

Q: What's the status of my Program Membership application?
A: You can view the status of your application at any time by logging into the Cisco Technology Developer Program Online Application. You must use your Cisco.com username and password to access your application. Please note that you must have a valid Cisco.com account and be listed as a contact for your company in the application in order to view your status or update your profile information.

Q: What if my company changes name?
A: Company name changes such as those required by acquisition/ merger can be processed through CTDP. Company name change requests will only be considered after your company has officially changed its name. This will be verified by viewing your company's revised website. Company name change requests shall be formally submitted in writing on new company letterhead from your company's Legal Department. The letter should include your old company name, new company name, date of change, and a request to change your company name or a request of reassignment to the new company in the case of an acquisition. Q: We have a new product we would like to test interoperable with Cisco. How do I begin?
A: Each individual product currently requires a unique application to be submitted to the program for review. If you have a new product for which you would like to submit an application for consideration in the Cisco Technology Developer Program, click "New Application" in the Cisco Technology Developer Program Online Application. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by a Cisco Partner Manager, and you should be contacted within 45 days.

Q: How do I get a joint press release with Cisco? We're doing a product launch for a new product. How do I get a Cisco quote to include in the press release?
A: Cisco regrets to inform its members of the Cisco Technology Developer Program that it will temporarily cease press release support regarding joining Cisco's Technology Developer program and/or their product interoperability with Cisco products.
The Cisco Technology Developer Program management truly apologizes for the inconveniences and is working towards providing our members with the tools and resources that will work towards automating our press release process.

Q: Is there a certificate when I complete my Verification of Compatibility testing?
A: Upon successful completion of Verification of Compatibility testing and satisfaction of other requirements set forth by your Cisco Partner Manager and/or the Program Agreement, you may submit a request to the Program to have a certificate emailed to you. You will be required to have your Product Profile posted on Cisco.com (if you are a Partner, not an Affiliate), prior to a certificate being issued.

Q: How do I contact the sales representative for a specific account?
A: Respond through the Program Help Desk and provide the name of the account, the city, state or province, and country. Every effort will be made (within 2 business days of your request) to identify and put you in contact with a sales or channel partner representative who handles the account or territory.

Q: I want to participate in a tradeshow or event. How do I sign up?
A: Cisco provides many event opportunities through the year. If you have a specific event you are interested in attending, but have not yet received notification by your Cisco Partner Manager that registration is available to you, feel free to respond through the Program Help Desk.

Q: How do I update my partner profile?
A: Once you have passed compatibility testing and all other Program requirements, you will see an "Update Profile" link when you log in to view your application status. Use the "Update Profile" link to make changes to your profile and submit it for approval. If you do not see an “Update Profile” link, this means either you have not passed testing or you already have submitted your profile for Cisco review. Once Cisco has approved your profile, the “Update Profile” link will reappear.

Q: Do I need to replace all of my materials that use the old Cisco partner logo?
A: No, we expect old and new Cisco logos to co-exist for some time. Only replace materials when you would normally reprint and use the new Cisco partner logo on your new materials.

Q: Are there any changes in how we use the new Cisco partner logo?
A: No, logo usage guidelines remain the same. Please refer to the Quick Reference sheet for general usage requirements. Updated guidelines with usage examples featuring the new logo will be distributed by the end of the year. Until then, you can refer to your current partner logo usage guidelines for more detailed usage guidelines.
